Opening Times:

Shere Museum is open every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays
1pm - 5pm

The Museum will be closed from 5pm 18th December and will reopen January 7th 2012
The archives are open by appointment.

Entry:

There is no entry charge but donations are welcome to assist in the further development of Shere Museum. The Museum is accessible by wheelchair to the ground floor on request.

Shop:

There is a range of books of local interest and other items for sale.

Directions:

By Road
Shere is on the A25 between Dorking and Guildford in Surrey. From Guildford, turn right shortly after Silent Pool. The Museum is on the left, shortly after the junction with Middle Street, next to the Village Hall. From Dorking, turn left into Shere shortly after leaving Gomshall. Shere Museum is on the right, immediately after the Village Hall and before the junction with Middle Street.

Car Parking is available behind the museum in the Recreation Ground. The entrance to the car park is about 50 metres before Shere museum when entering from the Guildford end, or 50 metres after the Museum if approaching from Dorking.

By Bus
Shere is served by Arriva Buses, the bus stop is outside the museum. Services are 21, 22, 25 and 32. Check timetables. There are no buses on Sundays.

By Train
The nearest station is Gomshall, which is a 1 mile walk. There are footpaths the entire way. Trains serving Gomshall run from Reading to Reigate via Guildford. Visit National Rail Enquiries to check times.
